I’m Ale [AL-EEE] or Alessandra. My name has been mispronounced so many times that my handles/website came about because everyone thinks I’m named after an alcoholic beverage.

I’m a Queer Latinx and born and raised in Southern California with a serious love/hate relationship for it. Books have held a special place in my life, they were an outlet to other worlds when I didn’t want to be in mine. So it kind of became my life. I have been in libraries since I can remember. I volunteered at my local branch when I was in the 6th grade and it was the smallest building but my love for books blossomed. My first job was as a library page and now almost 15 years later I’m still in it, as a Young Adult Library Assistant. I focus on teen programming and collection development. I’m currently wrapping up my MLIS degree. I absolutely love working with teens, especially all my LGBTQ+ babies. I try to make a space I wish I had during those years.

I created this blog as a personal outlet so I can rant about books and life. I love horror, YA, general fiction and nonfiction.

Please enjoy, or not, up to you. But you’re here, make the most of it.
